MRS. JULIA ANN BARKER
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 6 at 5 p.m. from Antioch church for
Mrs. Julia Ann Barker. Mrs. Barker passed away July 3 at the residence of a
daughter in Huntingdon, Tenn.
Mrs. Barker was 79 years of age and had been in ill health for several years.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Nellie Nix of Whitman, West Va., Mrs.
Anne Pirkle of Heflin; Mrs. Vida Williamson of Huntingdon, Tenn., and Mrs.
Ollie Harris of Detroit, Mich.; eight sons, Arthur Guyton of Atlanta, Ga.;
Drew Barker of Dallas, Texas; Dr. Hiram Barker of Alexandria, La., Abia
Barker of Fort Worth, Texas; Ziska Barker of Sherman, Texas; Costa Barker of
Washington, D.C., Wyss Barker of Charlotte, N.C., Marcus Barker of
Birmingham; one stepson, Henry Barker of Haleyville; four brothers, John,
George, Albert and Jasper Tomlin, all of Atlanta, Ga.
The sons served as pallbearers. Rev. Roy Niager of Atlanta, Rev. W.M. Barr of
Bell Mills and Rev. E.C. Johnson of Heflin conducted the services. Interment
was in the Antioch cemetery with Brown - Service in charge.
