Pittsboro: Tuesday morning, April 6, the community was shocked when a telegram came announcing the death of Mrs. Percy Fowler at Washington, D. C. Mrs. Fowler was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Beaman. Edith was very popular while a girl here in school, being a bright scholar, a talented musician and highly esteemed by teachers and pupils.
