Beverly Jean Sallee of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on June 10, 2015 at the Lake Way Nursing and Rehab Center in Benton, Ky. She was born on April 21st, 1933 at Xenia, Ohio, the daughter of Pearl L. and Myrtle S. (Craig) Blackburn. She graduated from Kingman High School in Clinton Co., Ohio in 1951, and was retired from Fisher Price in Murray, Kentucky.
She first married Stanley E. Funk, by whom she had a daughter, Sherry Ellen Funk. She then married Eugene H. “Dick” Sallee, by whom she had four children, Scott Eugene, Shane Eric, Shana Elizabeth, and Shaun Edric Sallee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dick Sallee, daughters Sherry Funk and Shana Sallee, brothers and sister-in-law Bill Blackburn, Jim and Ruth Blackburn, and sister Brenda Fite. She is survived by sons Scott Sallee of Gallatin, Tennessee, Shane Sallee of Crofton, Maryland and Shaun (Judy) Sallee of Lawson, Missouri; brothers Dick Blackburn of Pearce, Arizona, and Paul Blackburn of Benton, Kentucky; and a sister Pat Reed of Thornville, Ohio.
Visitation will be at the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, Ky., between the hours of 6-8 PM on Saturday, June 13. Graveside services will be at 10AM on Monday, June 15 in Section T of Miami-Corwin Cemetery at Waynesville, Ohio. Those wishing to call on the family may do so at the gravesite in the hour prior to the service.
