J.D. Loesch was born in Kenney, Texas, the son of Theo and Minnie Loesch. He resided in Hempstead, Texas with his wife of 51 years, Ruby Bennatt. He served the City of Hempstead for 33 years. He was a volunteer EMT and a volunteer fireman for Hempstead for many years. He loved helping people and never met a stranger. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren. J.D. passed away at the age of 72. He is survived by his wife Ruby, daughters Tracy Meador, Lacey Pitchford and husband Steven, grandchildren Austin Jones, Steven Pitchford Jr. and wife Brittany, Brandon Lindgren, great Grandchildren Aubrey and Steven Pitchford III, sisters Dolores Ford and husband Jerry, and Gladys Ueckert, sister-in-law Reva Loesch, brother-in-laws Butch Bennatt and Lona Reeves, Gene Bennatt and wife Carolyn and nieces, nephews, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Theo and Minnie Loesch, sister Adele Rayburn and husband Buddy, brother Delton Loesch, brother-in-law Henry Ueckert, and father and mother-in-law F.E. and Dorothy Bennatt.

Service with Brad Qualls officiating. Pallbearers are Austin Jones, Steven Pitchford, Steven Pitchford, Jr., Darren Pfeffer, Melvin Pfeffer, and Delano Pfeffer. Honorary pallbearers are the Hempstead Volunteer Fire Department and Brandon Lindgren.
