CALDWELL — Services for Viola R. Newton, 79, of 1305 Main, who died in a Caldwell hospital Thursday will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Peckham-Dakan chapel, with the Rev. Gail Davis of the Treasure Valley Christian Church officiating. Interment will be in Canyon Hill Cemetery.
She was born Nov. 13, 1887, in Blue Eye, Mo., and married Clarence P. Newton there in 1905. They then moved to Kuna where Mr. Newton engaged in farming. She moved to Middleton, where she resided for many years, and later came to Caldwell.
She was a preceded in death by a daughter Mrs. Dorthy Bequeath in 1951 and a son, Austin Newton, in 1961. Survivors are two sons, both of Caldwell, Jim and William Newton; a daughter Mrs. Nola Milliner of Caldwell; a brother H. D. Avery of Blue Eye, Mo.; 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
