Ray Clifton "Cliff" Alleman, Jr was born in Eureka, Kansas on November 16, 1944, the son of Ray Clifton Alleman, Sr and Muriel A. Scott of Eureka. He graduated from Virgil High School. He enlisted in the Navy on October 16, 1965 where he served with dignity and honor aboard the Bonn Homme Richard an attack ship. He was honorably discharged on November 5, 1968 with medals for National Defense Service, Vietnam Service, and Vietnam Campaign. After his discharge, Cliff worked for Blackburn Construction all over the United States until he retired in 2005.

After retiring, Cliff worked part-time for Pro Energy of Oklahoma.Cliff raced boats and rode cross-country motorcycles. He was a member of the Eureka VFW #2712 for more than twenty years. He marched in parades and honor guard at funerals.

On August 27, 1999, Cliff was united in marriage to Mary Jane Owens in Miami, Oklahoma. They made their home in Eureka.

He is survived by his wife, Mary of the home; four stepsons, Fred Lamb of Eureka; Al Owens of Eureka; Kyle Owens of Rosehill; and Toby Owens of Wichita; ten step-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Korrina Dawn; his parents;
and one sister, Patricia Ann.

Memorial service will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 12, 2015 at Greenwood Cemetery in Eureka, with Mr. Jayme Koup officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to Ribbons of Hope. Contributions may be sent in care of Koup Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 595, Eureka, KS
67045, which was in charge of service arrangements.
