She was born September 16, 1915, in Kingston, IL. the daughter of James and Alice (Baker) Ball. She married Harold Diedrick on June 19, 1936 in Union and they resided in Algonquin for many years before retiring to Michigan in 1978.
Survivors include her son David (Betty) Diedrick of Daggett, a daughter-in-law, Peggy Diedrick of Addison, IL, 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sadie Oglesby, Edna Harting, and Viola Knaak all of Huntley.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold on February 3, 1993, a son Herbert, a daughter in infancy, her grandson Russell and six brothers.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 19, 1998 at the James A O'Connor Funeral Home in Huntley with the Rev. Ronald T. Woodruff officiating. Burial was in Huntley Cemetery.
Visitation was held on Friday at the First Congregational Church in Huntley.
