Jessie B Crow was called from this life to join his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 9, 2016 after a long life of service to his Lord, his family, and his community.

Jessie B was born on October 3, 1928, in Burnet, Texas to Jim and Lela Walker Crow. Enjoying the years of his youth in the protection of a small community, he never imagined the joys to come until he met the love of his life in high school. Then on Friday, April 13, 1948, he joined in matrimony to Theodora Mary Mayne Scoggins to begin a blissful yet eventful married life. After short stints in Killeen and Lampasas, they returned in 1957 to live in Burnet, with two children Karol, born in 1950 and Jessie, Jr. born in 1954. Dean joined the group in 1960 and the clan was complete.

When he wasn't involved in community organizations such as the Burnet Kiwanis Club or the Burnet Athletic Booster Club, he was engaged in bowling leagues, fast pitch softball leagues, or even umpiring. He then devoted his efforts to supporting his kids in all band and athletic endeavors. And as time passed, his concerns moved to the interests of his five grandchildren and eventually his seven great grandchildren.

Yet Jessie B was always pressing forward for his Lord in service for the Church of Christ. Serving as a deacon in the church when younger and enjoying the times of travel to lectureships with Mayne later in life, he always emphasized thru actions his service to the Lord.

He is preceded in death parents Jim and Lela, his wife Mayne, his son Dean, and his grandson Zachary.

He is survived by two children Karol (and Walter) Voges of Dripping Springs and Jessie (and Becky) Crow of Burnet. He is also survived by four grandchildren Eliab (and Brenda) Crow of Tyler, Jatanna (and Wyatt) Winkenwerder of New Milford, CT., Aaron (and Bethany) Voges of Houston, and Krystal Crow. Jessie B is survived by seven great grandchildren, Madelynn and Samuel Crow, Cameron and Camden Winkenwerder, and Joshua, Zoe, and Seth Voges.

The graveside for Jessie B will be held with Minister Clayton Arnold officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cherokee Children's Home. Condolences may be offered to www.clementswilcoxburnet.com
