Josephine C. "Sissy" Humbert, 68, of 7101 Hartkopf Lane, Brooklyn Park, Minn., died Wednesday, June 28, 2006, at Unity Hospital in Fridley, Minn.

She was born May 27, 1938, in the town of Tilden, the daughter of Louis (Catherine) (Turany) Simon. She graduated from St. Peter's Grade School, and was a caregiver for the senior citizens for many years. She was a member of St. Peter's Church in Tilden and St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Brooklyn Park. She enjoyed making crafts and crocheting.

She is survived by two sons, Greg (Julie) Humbert of Brooklyn Park, Minn., and Duane (Laure) Humbert of Bloomer; four brothers, Wilfred (Betty) Simon of Chetek, Ernie, Tony (Jane) Simon and Allen (Yvonne) Simon both of Tilden; seven sisters, Dorothy (Roman) Boos of Chippewa Falls, Ann Schemenauer of town of Howard, Armilla Geist of Chetek, Alice (Tom) McDonald of Tilden, Joan (Robert) Morain of Minneapolis, Minn., Fran (Don) Girard of Chippewa Falls and Roseanne (Larry) Winrich of Eau Claire; one sister-in-law, Janice Simon of Eau Claire; eight grandchildren, Kyle, Tanner, Jake, Erica, Jaimee, Austin, Dallas and Levi; and special friends, Francis, Michelle and Rick.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, William and Norbert Simon.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 1, 2006, at St. Peter's Church, with interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, both in the town of Tilden.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 30, and until 10 a.m. Saturday at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls. There will be a Christian Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
