Annie Rosie Lenz of La Vernia, Texas, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, at the age of 94.
She was born on July 15, 1909, in St. Hedwig, to John and Frances (Benek) Foerster.
She was married to Arthur Markgraf and then to Alvin Lenz.
Mrs. Lenz was a homemaker and a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Arthur Markgraf and Alvin Lenz; and a daughter, Joyce Klatt.
Survivors include daughters Rosalie Rennspies of Universal City, Elizabeth Buehring and husband Leroy and Grace Riddles and husband Clarence, all of San Antonio, and Barbara Brietzke and husband Bill of La Vernia; sons Arthur Markgraf and wife Margie of New Berlin and Charles Lenz and wife Vicki of Bulverde; 25 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, Jan. 11, from 2-9 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.
A rosary was held on Sunday at 7 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services were held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel with Father Victor Carrillo officiating.
Interment followed in the Concrete Cemetery in La Vernia.
Memorial contributions can be made by way of Mass cards.
