bGary Duane Linderman, 60, of rural Welch, OK, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 6, 2015, after a sudden illness.

He was born September 8, 1954 to Marvin Linderman and Velma (Patton) Linderman.

Gary was a much loved and well-respected businessman. He was a pharmacist, receiving his pharmacy degree from Southwestern State University in Weatherford, OK. He was the owner of the Ole Miners Pharmacy in Picher, OK. Despite the loss of the town of Picher, Gary was resilient in keeping his pharmacy open for his many loyal customers he cared so much about. He also had a deep love for the ladies who worked for him. He was known for sending flowers to so many people when special occasions occurred in their lives.

Gary was an active member of the First Christian Church in Chetopa, KS where he served as an elder and church board secretary. He prepared communion every week and had coffee made when others showed up for church. He loved the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, and his vegetable garden were his favorite past times. He was a friend to so many people and his most loyal companion was his dog, Tiger.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gary is survived by Tiger, numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and the many, many friends that he adopted as his family, including his pharmacy employees, and a special friend, Cheryl Riley and her son, Austin.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the First Christian Church in Chetopa, KS with Terry Robison officiating. A visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service. He will be laid to rest with his parents in the Wyandotte Indian Cemetery in Wyandotte, OK.

Pallbearers will be Ron Green, Mickey Hoover, Russell Robson, Charles Stoner, Austin Riley, and John Mozingo. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the First Christian Church, P.O. Box 327, Chetopa, KS 67336 or to the Welch Public Schools Enrichment Foundation c/o Welch State Bank, P.O. Box 129, Welch, OK 74369.
