Funeral services for Mrs. E. J. Alexander, 60, a resident of Abilene 6 years, will be conducted Saturday in the Keever Funeral Home at Ennis.
Mrs. Alexander died Thursday in Hendrick Memorial Hospital after a three-week illness. She had made her home here since her marriage 6 years ago, living at 1025 Lillus St.
Born June 11, 1891 in Arkansas, she had spent most of her life in Ennis.
The Rev. H. H. McCollum, a Baptist minister, will conduct final rites. Burial will be in Myrtle Cemetery at Ennis. Elliott’s Funeral Home of Abilene took the body to Ennis Thursday night.
Mrs. Alexander is survived by her husband; three step-daughters and a stepson by a previous marriage, Mrs. Dodson Hayes, Paris, TX; Mrs. Cecil Taylor, Dallas, and Mrs. Albert Merrit, CA, and Weldon Landress, CA. Other survivors are Mrs. Opal Ernest, Abilene, and Mrs. Bonnie Judd, Fort Worth, both daughters of Mr. Alexander.
