Stephen George Earp, 35, of Brownwood, Tex., a former Iberia resident, died Thursday, July 30k 1987 in Austin, Tex. of a heart attack. He was born March 8, 1952 in Tuscumbia, MO to George and Jean Brumley Earp, who survive in Iberia. In October of 1977 he was married to Karen Swaggerty, who survives at the home.

Mr. Earp was baptized at the Iberia First Christian Church at the age of 15. During 1969 and 1970 he served as a combat infantry medic in the Vietnam War. At the time of his death, Mr. Earp was owner of A-1 Seamless Gutters and Home Improvement Company of Brownwood, Stephenville and Abilene, Tex.

Survivors other than his wife and parents are three daughters, Kelly, Alicia and Jennifer Earp; a sister, Judy Farnham of Iberia; a nephew, Scott Farnham of St. Louis; and a niece, Stephanie Farnham of Iberia.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Davis-Morris Funeral Chapel in Brownwood, Tex. with the First Christian Church minister officiating. Burial was in the Bangs Cemetery in Bangs, Texas.
