George Henry Gardner was the son of Aaron Bolivar Gardner and Elmyra Messenger (Joy) Gardner. He married Julia Ann French on November 15th, 1876 in Christian County, Missouri. George and Julia had seven children; Charles E., Ada I., Ella Cathryn, Susan F., Harry Burton, Harry A., and Lula A. Gardner. George was a carpenter by trade. His death certificate lists his cause of death as "Chronic nephritis w/secondary dysentery." He was buried December 14th, 1925.
