Francis Grant Blair: State Superintrndent of Public Instruction since 1906. He taught country schools, 1884 -86; principal schools, Malden, Ill.,1886-89; Leroy, Ill.,1892-95; supt. training dept. Eastern (Ill.) Normal School, 1899-1906.

He was born Oct. 30, 1864, at Nashville, Ill.,the son of William and Mary J. (Crane) Blair.
He married Lillian Clayton, of Leroy, Ill. in 1898.
He is a member of various educational organizations and author of monographs on pedagogy.
