Ann Margret Farrell passed away on November 28, 2014 in Milwaukie, Oregon. She was born on August 27, 1923 in Portland, Oregon, the only child of Arthur and Lona Kelly. She joined the Women’s Reserve Coast Guard at the age of 18, and spent time on active duty during WWII. During her service, she met Robert James Farrell, serving in the US Navy. They were married on December 31, 1943 in New Orleans. They were married for 46 years, until Robert’s death in 1989. Together they had 5 children. Ann enjoyed needlepoint and watching TV; she was also a member of the “Studebaker Club”. Ann was always a loving person, and never forgot a birthday or Christmas, sending a card for every holiday she could. Ann loved her family dearly, and wanted nothing more than for them to be okay. Ann is survived by her children Michelle Brown, Leona Stoll, Michael Farrell, Margret Schlaht, and Janelle Matott; 9 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 1-5pm on Thursday December 11. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday December 12, 2014 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home; with committal service at Willamette National Cemetery to follow.
