Jessiemae graduated from New Glarus High School in 1943. She furthered her education at Brown College of Commerce in Freeport, IL. On Dec. 7, 1946, she was united in marriage to Russel Hageman at First United Church of Christ in Belleville. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in 1996. She continued to be a lifetime member of First UCC and served for many years in the Sunday school program and guild. Jessiemae farmed her entire life, enjoying all aspects of Ag Life. She worked for the United States Census Bureau for many years. She especially enjoyed her time working for the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture and valued the friendship of many coworkers.
Jessiemae is survived by her son, Gary (Janice) Hageman of Belleville; daughter, Sandra (Moose) Werner of Middleton; grandchildren, Chris (Barb Pluss) Hageman, James (Bridget) Hageman, Allen (Vicki) Hageman, Amanda (Kevin) Luepke, John (Megan Lee) Werner and Jennifer Werner; great-grandchildren, Martina, Sawyer and Piper. She is further survived by a sister-in-law, Marilyn Argue; and brother-in-law, Kenneth (Lois) Hagemann.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Russel; parents; brother, George; and granddaughter, Sarah Werner.
