A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, in Trinity Episcopal Cathedral for Edgar Dean Crumpacker, who died Jan. 29 at age 87.

Mr. Crumpacker was born Aug. 29, 1916, in Portland. He received his bachelor's from Reed College, master's degree from the California Institute of Technology and law degree from Stanford Law School. He served in the Army Air Forces during World War II and the Air Force during the Korean War. He practiced law for 45 years in Hawaii, where he was assistant U.S. attorney and later a circuit court judge. He moved in 2002 to Oregon, where he lived in Portland and Camp Sherman.

Survivors include his daughters, Cornelia Kilmer, Eve Alani Morgan, Pender Lee Cahoon and Paula Helen Crumpacker; stepdaughters, Christine Escobar and Gail Keanaaina; stepson, John Davis; brother, James C.; companion, Katherine Livingston; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
