J. B. Walker
October 26, 1928 ~ June 6, 2015
J. B. Walker, age 86 of Dublin, died on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at his home with his family by his side. Mr. Walker was born on October 26, 1928 in Macon Georgia to the late Henry Grady Walker and Beulah Lee Walker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Pauline Walker; brothers Grady, Melvin, and Walter Walker, and Nephew, Gary Walker.
Mr. J. B. enlisted in the Army during WWII where he served as a helicopter and airplane mechanic and with the 3rd Air Recue Squadron. After his tour of duty during WWII, he graduated from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia.
Mr. J. B retired from GMAC in Macon and moved to Dublin and founded Walker Insurance agency, which just celebrated its forty-second anniversary. He was also a long time member of Pine Forest United Methodist Church.
In retirement, he served as a bailiff for the Laurens County Courts. His greatest pleasure was being with his family and being a part of his children and grandchildren’s lives. Mr. Walker was a loving Dad, Granddad and Great Granddad. He was a tremendous role model of courage, leadership, respect, discipline, and faithfulness to all that knew him. He was a great mentor and counselor and will be deeply missed by family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, June 8, 2015. Dr. Joel Dent and Rev. Wes Moye will officiate the service.
