Mrs Maude Martin, for many years a resident of this county, passed away Wednesday morning at 6:40 o'clock at Methodist hospital in Indianapolis. She had been a patient there for four weeks following an operations. Mrs. Martin is a daughter of Mrs. Ida Chitwood Richey, of Needmore, and was born in this county sixty years ago. She was married to John A Martin, also of this county and the couple resided for a number of years on a farm where Yellowwood lake is now located. Later they moved to Greenwood, where they had since resided. Besides the husband and mother, Mrs Martin is survived by four brothers, Ira, Ora and Ralph Chitwood, of this county, and Walter Chitwood, of Absorker, Montana, two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Hill, of Oregon, Wis., and Mrs. Blance Neal, of Bloomington. She also leaves six daughters and one son. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Saturday at Greenwood with burial there.
