The obituary for Dora (Newkirk) Wiebold reads as follows:
MRS. WIEBOLD, 82, DIES; RITES HELD
Mrs Dora Wiebold, 82, of 811 East Fairchild Street, died at her home at 10 a.m., Jan. 8.
Born in Iowa county near Homestead January 19, 1874, she was a daughter of Henry and Sophie Bush Newkirk. She was married to Herman Wiebold Febuary 14, 1895.
The couple made their home on a farm south of Homestead until retiring in 1936, when they moved to Williamsburg.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Fred Walters and Mrs. Joe Benjamin, both of Iowa City, and Mrs Arnold Wardenburg, of Williamsburg, six sons, Arnold, Millen and Irvin, all of Williamsburg, Gilbert of Cedar Rapids, Herman of Amana, Orville, of Quasqueton, as well as 34 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Also surviving are one sister, Mrs Mary Meyers, of Cedar Rapids, and two brothers, M. F. Newkirk, of Oxford, and Adolph Newkirk, of Dexter, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two daughters, who died in infancy.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran church with the Rev. John W. Constable, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran cemetery near Williamsburg.
Pallbearers were: Larry Lane, Melvin Walters, Richard Wiebold, Lloyd Wiebold, Dean Wiebold and Roger Wiebold.
