Mrs Edwards' Rites Planned
Mrs. Ella Edwards, 82, a resident of Dallas for twenty-seven years, died Tuesday at a hospital after a short illness.
Mrs. Edwards, a native of West Virginia, came to Texas when she was young, and her family settled near Mesquite. She was married to the late J. T. Edwards, who was born and reared in the Edwards community. He died in 1916 at Edwards. In 1922, she moved to 1809 Third Avenue in Dallas, where she was living at the time of her .
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Second Avenue Baptist Church, the Rev. C. E. Jackson officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. Kenneth M. Hay. Burial will be in the Long Creek Cemetery, in the eastern part of the county.
Mrs. Edwards is survived by a son, G. C. Edwards; two daughters, Mrs. John S. Moore and Mrs. J. J. Anderson; a brother, R. W. Meek; a sister, Mrs. Addie Mathis; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of Dallas.
Pallbeares will be Ed Guynes, Jimmy Blanke, Joe Anderson, Jim Anderson, Thomas Edwards and David Edwards, all grandsons.
