GLADYS B. FRANK
ROME - Mrs. Gladys B. Frank, 78, of 617 Turin St., Rome, died March 7, 1981 at Rome Hospital of a heart ailment.
Born May 24, 1902 in Rome, the daughter of Charles and Laura (Gerwig) Beck. She was married to D. Douglas Johnson in 1920. He died in 1954. She then married J. LeRoy Frank in 1955. He died in 1977. She had resided in Rome all of her life, She was a former proprietor of Satch's Hotel, New London and was formerly employed by Griffiss Air Force Base during WWII. She was educated in the Rome Schools. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Churchville, N.Y. Mrs. Frank was a volunteer worker for the Red Cross for over 50 years and a volunteer in the canteen of the Bloodmobile. She was a 51 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Rome and Sherrill. She was a Past President of both Rome and Sherrill American Legion and a Past President of the Oneida County American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Oneida County (illegible).
Funeral services will be held from the funeral home of Griffin & Aldridge Inc., on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Robert J. Maier officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday and Monday 2-4 and 7-9. Interment in St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Churchville, N.Y.
