Bray- Funeral Services for Mr. Tommie Darwood Boatman, 70, of Bray are scheduled for 1:00 PM Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Lakeside Baptist Church of Bray with Bro. Harold Matheny and Bro. Lawrence Gresham officiating. Interment will follow at the Mountain Park Cemetery of Mountain Park, OK. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.

Tom was born June 21, 1942 at Mountain Park to the late Mr. Walter Darwood “Woody” Boatman and Mrs. Opal Frances (Dodd) Boatman. He departed this life Tuesday April 9, 2013 at his home in Bray.

Tom was raised at both California and Oklahoma attending school at Velma. He and the former Ms. Carol Rielator were united in marriage on June 30, 1962 at Reno, NV. They resided at California, Arkansas, and Oklahoma before settling at Bray in the summer of 1978.

Tom was employed a lot of his life in the Oilfield and had also worked for Bray Doyle Public Schools doing maintenance. His last employment was working for various farmers in the area working on their equipment as a mechanic and other farm work which he enjoyed tremendously.

Those who preceded him in death were his Parents, Walter and Opal Boatman; Stepmother, Ruby; Infant Son, Walter J. Boatman; and 4 Sisters, Cletus Boatman, Peggy Ponder, Lavita Clagg, and Edith Delaney.

Survivors include his wife Carol Boatman of Bray; Daughters, Debbie Boatman of Duncan, and Diane Hill and husband Leroy of Marlow; Son, Dwaine Boatman and wife Lisa of Frisco, TX; Brother, Jay Boatman and wife Ingrid of Furth, Germany; Sister, Virginia Bowman and husband Rick of Velma; Stepbrother, Kenny Clagg and wife Kathy of Albin, and Step Sister Connie Scarberry and husband Leroy of Antlers; 4 Granddaughters, 1 Great Granddaughter and a Great Grandson on the way; Many other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Bancfirst account named Lucy Boatman at the Duncan or Marlow branch.

Family visitation is from 6- 8 pm Friday Evening at Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.
