STANLEY, Bobbie Moore, 71, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 1998. He was retired from GE after 25 years of service. He served his country during World War II while stationed at Pearl Harbor in the Navy. Bobbie was also a member of I.U.E. #161 and was active in amateur radio and antique collectibles. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Stanley and is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Ann Stanley, Robert and Rebecca Stanley; grandchildren, Troyann and Kristie; brother, Hugh C. Stanley; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 16, 1998, at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son, Salem with Father Randy Rule officiating. Burial to follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial gifts may be made to a favorite charity.
