Marine, IL--Mrs. Lottie Rieke of Marine passed away at her home southwest of Marine on Sunday Sept. 28, after a lingering illness. She attained the age of 90 years, three months and 16 days.
Mrs. Rieke was born to the late Henry and Henrietta Ahlmeyer on June 12, 1862 in Germany and came to this country at the age of three and always lived near Marine.
She was united in marriage to William Rieke at the Evangelical church in Marine on May 22, 1883. To this union four children were born. The husband preceded her in death March 1936. Also two sons William and Henry.
She is survived by one daughter, Miss Pauline Rieke and one son Edwin Rieke, both of Marine, one sister Mrs. W. Noeltner and one brother Louis Ahlmeyer of St. Jacob and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed church and a member of the Women's Guild and the Royal Neighbors.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 o'clock at the Evangelical and Reformed church with Rev. Alton Loar officiating.
Burial was in Marine cemetery.
