William Met & Married, Mary Ann "Mamie" Sprague, and moved to Oshkosh NE, to Homestead on a Kincade just north of town in 1905, about 8 miles or more to a place known as Dogtown Flats.
They built a sod-house then a frame house, then sold & moved about 5 miles north on a much larger farm, then to town in the late twenties, and Bill started a Truck Company and had a General Store, then went into Police work.
He was a County Commissioner for several years and Chairman as well. His name is on the Corner Stone of the County Court House, in Oshkosh, he was Chairman when it was built as well as the bridge south of town and other projects.
Wm. was loved & respected by all those who knew him and was a Super Grandpa, He will always be missed.
