Born in Union County, he was a son of the late Wade and Hattie (McCarson) Quinn.
He was a retired textile employe, a veteran of World War II, and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Ware Shoals.
Surviving are his wife, Gladys (Rudder) Quinn; two sons, Wayne Quinn of Clinton and Johnny Quinn of Ware Shoals; four daughters, Rhoda Smith of Ware Shoals, Shirley Kirby of Mauldin, Rebecca Gwinn of Laurens and Gaye Grinar of Jackson, KY; three brothers, Wade Quinn of Ware Shoals, Ray Quinn of Cowpens and Gordon Quinn of Germany; three sisters, Bessie Samples, Gennie Gossett and May Mary Wyatt, all of Clinton; 23 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 22, 1976 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Hatchell and the Rev. Abercrombie officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family received friends Wednesday, April 21, 1976 from 7:00 to 9:00 at Parker-White Funeral Home. The body was placed in the church at 1:00 p.m. Thursday.
