Annie A. Leopold, 97, of Hallettsville, passed away June 13, 2010. She was born on April 12, 1913 to Joseph J. & Katherina Grahmann Haas in Lavaca County, Texas. She married Victor A. Leopold on June 27, 1933 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville. She was a member of the Christian Mothers Society and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Annie is survived by: 2 daughters, Lorene Rode & husband David of Houston, and Delrose “Dee” Merecka & husband John of Houston; 3 sons, Victor J. Leopold & Gloria of Columbus, Jackson Leopold & wife Agnes of Houston, and Leon Leopold & Dottie Blaha of Hallettsville; 2 sisters, Lena Steffek and Rosie Bludau of Hallettsville; 15 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Annie was preceded in death by: husband Victor; parents; 3 brothers, Louis, Leo Sr., and Frank Haas; 4 sisters, Minnie Schraer, Agnes Bludau, Mary Kolos, and Cecilia Ogle; and 2 great grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann and Grace Elizabeth Leopold.
Funeral Mass Service: 1:30 pm, Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hallettsville. Visitation: 2 pm, Monday at Kubena Funeral Home. Rosary: 7 pm, Monday, at Kubena Funeral Home. Officiate: Rev. John Peters. Pallbearers: Troy Rode, Gary Leopold, Rocky Leopold, Michael Leopold, Scott Leopold, Jeff Merecka, Ronald Leopold, and Greg Merecka. Burial: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
