Surrounded by her family and in the arms of the angels, Esther went to be with her Savior on Wednesday, March 26, 2008.

Esther was born in Centerville, Iowa on June 10, 1916 to John and Lucille Rosetta. The family moved to Madrid where Esther attended School. She was united in marriage to Dante Battani of Woodward on September 23, 1933 where they resided until the completion of the Granger Homestead where she lived for 72 years. Dante died in 1972. She was his loving wife for 39 years. Esther enjoyed being a housewife, a devoted mother and caretaker of her family. She enjoyed music and dancing, but most of all her church. After Dante died Esther married Elio Biondi in 1979. Elio died in 1997.

Esther is survived by her daughter Mary Ellen (Fred) McKibbin and one sister, Eileen (Carroll) Anderson. She is also survived by two loving grandchildren, Elizabeth (Ryan) Bittner of Cottage Grove, WI and Edward (Jennifer) McKibbin of Bloomington, IL. She has five great grandchildren who were the joy of her life. Emma, Molly and Johnny Bittner and Dominic and Leo McKibbin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her son Edward, and sisters Geneva Battani and Lenora Rosetta

The family wishes to thank the Bishop Drumm Nursing Home and Mercy Hospice for their wonderful and gentle care during these past six months.
