Dennis Yelton, age 65, of Wildlife Road in Nebo died Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville.
Born on August 11, 1949 in Mitchell County, he was the son of the late Clyde and Ola Mae Culbert Yelton. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers; Lee, Hubert, Ballard, Kenny, and Hansel Yelton.
Dennis was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and was a member of the Fork Mountain Holiness Church. He was the owner and operator of Blue Ridge Tree Service for thirty-four years. He enjoyed being outdoors and any outdoor activity and loved water skiing.
He is survived by his wife of forty years; Linda Fisher Yelton of Nebo; his son; Keith Yelton of Marion; his grandson; Kayden Yelton of Marion; and his brothers; Lloyd Yelton of Elizabethton, TN; Eugene Yelton of Baltimore, MD; J.L Yelton and Darrell Yelton both of Bakersville and Dale Yelton of Burnsville.
The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence at the memorial service honoring the life of Dennis Yelton on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home with the Rev. G.B. Garland officiating. Graveside services and inurnment will be in the Western North Carolina Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
