Born in Peoria March 27, 1926, she was a daughter of Albert E. and Mary Ellen (Smith) Abel. She was married to Charles E. Ward in Peoria March 11, 1950. She formerly was a secretary at Princess Peggy Inc. for several years.
Surviving are her husband; her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Abel of Trivoli; three sons, Harry Jennings Jr. of Farmington, and Key Jennings and Dale Ward, both at home; one sister, Mrs. Mary Ellen Miller of Peoria; one brother, Gene Abel, with the U.S. Navy; and one stepbrother, William Neal of Peoria. Her mother and a brother, William Abel, preceded her in death.
