Howard E. Price, prominent Centreville business man for eighteen years, member of the Board of Town Commissioners of Centreville, and former member and President of the Good Will Fire Company of Centreville, died Friday morning at 5 o'clock at his home in Centreville. He was 69 years old.

Mr. Price was born near Queenstown December 3, 1869, son of the late William J. Price, large land owner and influential business man of his day, and Annie Price.

When a young man he began farming near Wye Mills on a farm then owned by his father which he later purchased. Shortly thereafter he married Miss Rachel Sparks, a daughter of the late Kent Sparks.

In 1904 Mr. Price moved to Centreville, where Mrs. Price died in 1907, but he continued to conduct his farm. On January 12, 1909 he married Miss May Hall, a daughter of the late J. Hersey Hall, a merchant of Centreville.

Besides his wife, Mr. Price is survived by three sons, John Hall Price, Howard E. Price and William Ellsworth Price, all of Centreville; four daughters, Mrs. Ronald J. Tamblyn, Holyoke, Mass.; Mrs. Samuel T. Rhodes, of Centreville; Mrs. M.M. Price of Laurel, Del.; and Miss Dolly Price of Centreville; and two sisters, Mrs. Annie E. Bryan of Centreville and Mrs. Fannie E. Bryan of Baltimore. Three grandchildren, Thomas Rhodes of Centreville and Donald and Larry Price of Laurel, Del., also remain.

Funeral services were held from his late home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock and were very well attended. The Rev. Ronald J. Tamblyn, of Holyoke, Mass., a son-in-law, officiated, assisted by the Rev. L. Colvin Randall, pastor of Grace M. P. Church and the Rev. Harry V. Branford, pastor of Centreville M. E. Church. Interment was in Chesterfield Cemetery in Centreville.
