Ernest Fletcher Brown was born on July 23, 1870, in Sandwich, New Hampshire, to Warren and Ellenette (Eastman) Brown. He married Ida Adelle Gray on January 4, 1894, in Milton, New Hampshire. He was employed as a shoe finisher on numerous censuses throughout his life. Ernest and Ida had seven children in 22 years. He died on December 29, 1954, in Manchester, New Hampshire, at the age of 84, and was buried there.
