Ed married Fannie Mae "Judy" Munn on December 20, 1949. He served in the army during the latter part of WWII serving in the Philippines and also in Japan. Ed had worked for BF Goodrich for over 40 years, retiring in 1987. He was a loving Husband and father and enjoyed most of all, his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also loved his cars especially a red 1964 Ford. He always wanted a 1964 Mustang, but never had one, and he enjoyed NASCAR racing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Judy, siblings Fred Vannoy, Don Vannoy, Geraldine Lones, Eveline Wheatley and son in law, Kenny Schaad.
Funeral services will be at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 12 p.m. with Pastor Herb Alexander officiating, and full military honors will be observed. Private entombment will take place in East Lawn Mausoleum.
