Although our family is mourning his loss, Wayne is now free from the conditions that took away his ability to communicate with us and, ultimately, his mobility. He was a kind and gentle man with a quirky sense of humor. I hope that heaven has a big fish pond, where he can spend his days with friends and "talk story" about the one that got away.
