Arlie May Pearcy Sheets, 98, died at 1:45 AM Sunday, Aug. 15, 1999, in Regency Place, where she had been a resident for two years. Born May 19, 1901, at Chicago, IL, she had lived most of her life in Lafayette. In 1952, she married Dale Sheets, in Lafayette, and he died in 1986.

Mrs. Sheets worked at the cigar factory at Frankfort and was an elevator operator at People's Life in Frankfort. She attended Greenbush Street Baptist Church, and was a member of Moose Lodge in Frankfort sincc 1944.

Surviving are two sons, Robert Shipley of Frankfort and Francis Camp of Lafayette; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by a daughter, Loretta Davis; a brother, and a sister.
