ARTESIA - Owen Haynes, 86, of West Missouri Avenue in Artesia, died Friday, April 15, 1995, at the Artesia Good Samaritan Center.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Woodbine Cemetery. The Evangelist J.R. Ross will officiate. Visitation will begin 1 p.m. Sunday at Terpening & Son Mortuary in Artesia.
Terpening & Son Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
Owen Haynes was born Oct. 26, 1908, in Richland Springs, Texas. He married Roberta Yeats June 11, 1932, in Devine, Texas.
He came to Artesia from Texas in 1935, and later retired from the Owen N. Haynes Supply Co.
Mr. Haynes was a member of the Eighth and Grand Church of Christ, Masonic Lodge and Shriners.
Survivors include his wife, of Artesia; son Robert Haynes, of Lubbock; sister Rosa Haynes, of San Angelo, Texas; and two grandchildren.
