HEFLIN, LA - Funeral services for Marvin L. Coleman, 83, of Heflin, LA. will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in Bistineau Baptist Church, Heflin, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Mike Welch. Burial will follow in Bistineau Cemetery, Heflin, LA. Visitation will be Friday, July 22, 2016 from 5:oo - 8:00 P.M. in Rockett Funeral Home, Ringgold, LA.
Coleman was born December 13, 1932 in Saline, LA. and passed away July 20, 2016 at his residence in Heflin, LA. He was a member of Bistineau Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon at one time. Mr. Coleman was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served in the Korean Conflict. He worked for several years with Trailways, Kerrville and Salter Bus Lines.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Amanda Coleman; wife, Mae Coleman, son-in-law, James E. Keener, one sister and three brothers. Left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Diane Keener of Heflin, LA. and Linda Coleman of Heflin, LA.; granddaughter, Tracie Reynolds of Kingswood, TX.; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Lexie Reynolds of Kingswood, TX.; sister, Helen Council of Jonesboro, LA.; sisters-in-law, Rachel Coleman of Jonesboro, LA. and Florence DuBois of Colfax, LA. and a number of other relatives and friends.
