Fred G. Cappel died today, November 17, 1987 at the Community Hospital of McCook at the age of 76. He was born September 8, 1911 in Hitchcock County to Fred and Adele (Eggeling) Cappel.
He was married in 1932 to Marie Graff in Oberlin.
He has made his home in McCook since 1936. He was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Sharon; and one brother, Walter.
Survivors include his wife, Marie of McCook; one son, Eugene of McCook; one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Judy) Black of Ft. Morgan, Colorado; two brothers, Arnold of Culbertson, and Clarence of South Dakota; nine grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, and 13 step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Carpenter-Breland Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Don Stuckwisch officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home of McCook is in charge of the arrangements.
