He has made his home in McCook since 1936. He was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Sharon; and one brother, Walter.
Survivors include his wife, Marie of McCook; one son, Eugene of McCook; one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Judy) Black of Ft. Morgan, Colorado; two brothers, Arnold of Culbertson, and Clarence of South Dakota; nine grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, and 13 step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Carpenter-Breland Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Don Stuckwisch officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home of McCook is in charge of the arrangements.
