Retired Weaver
The funeral of Edward A. Carney, 85, who died Saturday at his home, will be Tuesday at 9 am from the E. F. White Funeral Home. Requiem Mass will follow at 10 am at Immaculate Heart Church and burial will be in Immaculate Heart Cemetery. Friends may call tonight.
In ill health for three years, he had made his home with his son, John T. Carney of 721 Engle St., for the last 10 years. He was born and raised in Gloucester City, NJ., and lived there until coming to Chester.
A weaver by trade, he had been retired about 25 years. When engaged in his work, his business was in Philadelphia.
Surviving are two sons, John of Chester and Edward A., Jr., of Texas and two grandchildren.

Chester, July 7 - Edward A. Carny, 85, a native of Gloucester, NJ, died Saturday at his home after an illness of 3 years. He lived at 721 Engle St., Chester, for the past 10 years but prior to that, had resided in South Jersey. He was the husband of the late Lilley May Joseph Carny. Friends will assemble at a funeral home at 3rd and Norris Sts., Chester, Tuesday at 9 am. A solemn High Mass of Requiem will be offered at 10 am. in Immaculate Heart R.C. Church. burial will be in Immaculate Heart Cemetery. Friends may call the funeral home tonight.
