LAURA A. DIESS
Laura A. Diess passed away at her home at 791 West Seventh early Tuesday morning. She was born February 1, 1870, in Stubin, Wisconsin. She came to Portland at the age of 17 and in 1891 was married to George Diess. Mrs. Diess had lived in Portland, Medford and Lorane before coming to Eugene to make her home in 1903. She was a member of the Lighthouse Temple.
Surviving are the following children: Dewy E. Diess of Klamath Falls, Ivan Diess of Holland, Ore.; two daughters, Mrs. Mabel [Belle] Cavett of Eugene and Mrs. Maude Elman of Sherwood, Ore., Mrs. Opal Martin of Sherwood. Nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Anna Hand of Portland and a sister in Chicago; one brother, William Ivy [Ivey] of LaCenter, Washington.
Funeral announcements will be made from the Poole chapel.
