Mrs. Usher was a retired administrative assistant for the Momence School District, where she had worked for 20 years. She was born Sept. 29, 1943, in Momence, the daughter of Merton and Kathryn Clinton Davis. Her husband William David Usher, Jr., whom she married March 13, 1965, in Momence, died March 3, 2005. She received an associates degree in business from Kankakee Community College. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir and served as a Eucharistic minister. She was a member and past president of the CCW. She also served as the Momence Library Board president. She enjoyed quilting, traveling and working in her garden.
Surviving are one daughter, Karrie Snapp of Momence; two sons and one daughter-in-law, John Usher of Momence, Robert and Stephanie Usher of Maplewood, Mo.; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; and one sister and brother-in-law, Anna Mae and Roger Bennett of Momence.
Her parents are deceased.
