Mrs. Osborn funeral set in Fairbanks
Funeral services will be held Monday in Fairbanks, Alaska, for Myrtle Anderson Osborn, 80, 1817 Monterey St., who died Thursday in the Alaskan city. Mrs. Osborn had been visiting the past six months in the Fairbanks home of her son, James W. Osborn.
Mrs. Osborn was born Feb. 13, 1884 in Corpus Christi, Texas, and came to Kern County in 1916. She lived in McFarland until 1936. She resided for some years on a Kern County Land Co. ranch where she was employed as a cook until her retirement in 1949. She has resided since that time in Bakersfield until the extended Alaskan visit preceding her death.
Mrs. Osborn was for a number of years affiliated with the Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by two sons, James W. of Fairbanks and William H. of Bakersfield; a daughter, Koleta M. Osborn of Bakersfield; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in the cemetery in Fairbanks.
