William Austin Kidd was born Dec 14, 1879 at Waxahachie, Tx, to John Clark Kidd and Hulda Theodicia Wells Kidd and died May 5th, 1939 at the age of 60.

He was an ordained Deacon with the Baptist Church in 1914.

He was married to Miss Anna RAY in 1903. To this union 9 children were born, 8 of which are living. They are:Mrs C.C. Poteet. Washington, DC; Mrs. B.T. Brewer and Mrs. P.D. Pernill, Venus;Mrs. Orvil Conway, Graham; Mrs. Claudine Sims, and Miss Billie Kidd, Blum;D.L. Kidd, Handley and J. P. Kidd, Blum, Tx. He is also survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Kidd and 8 grandchildren.

His brothers and sisters are: Claude Kidd, Venus; R.A. and J. M. Kidd of Ft. Worth; and Henry Kidd of Tusla, Okla., Mrs. Butler (Grace) Key of Cleburne; Mrs Sam Johnson of Alvarado, Mrs. J. T. Clark, Ft. Worth and Mrs. W. H. Barker, Tulsa. Ok.

Funeral services under the direction of the L.P. Sanders Funeral Home were held at Venus Baptist Church Sunday at 3 p.m. conducted by Rev. M.M. Richardson, local pastor assisted by Rev. James Morgan, a friend of the family. Interment in the Venus Cemetery immediately following the church service. May 12, 1939.
