Doc served his country for 4 years in the U.S. Army and 21 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was a proud veteran of WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was manager of Varner Groves and the Crestview Country Club. He and his wife operated Adams Group Home for over 20 years. Mr. Adams also enjoyed his time being a cattle rancher.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Adams. Survivors include his son, Wayne (Mandy) Adams; daughters, Dea (Elon) Sowell, Karen (Kenn) Arnett and Donna (Ted) Smith; sisters, Pauline Tolbert and Iris Varner; 8 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, May 29 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Crestview Baptist Church (615 Old Polk City Rd). Funeral services will follow at the church at 11:00 AM. Burial with Military honors will be at Florida National Cemetery on Friday at 1:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cornerstone Hospice.
