~L.F. Perry, 91, of Olney, Texas, died on Thursday, May 28, 2015. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2015, at First United Methodist Church in Olney, Texas with Reverend Harrell Braddock, Jr. officiating assisted by Dr. Jay Beavers and Reverend Len Johnson. Burial with family and friends is at the Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas at 10:00 a.m. Dr. Charles Rufus Perry and Grandsons Kevin Jones, D.J. Meschkat, and Justin Piegat will be pallbearers. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

L.F. was born in Throckmorton, Texas on June 23, 1923 the sixth of seven children of L.F. Perry, Sr. and Alice Sims Perry. He served in the 2829th Engineer Combat Battalion in WWII where he assisted in the construction of portable and fixed bridges and moved heavy timber by setting up and rigging hoisting equipment. He was on active duty from February 1943 to December 1945, serving in Rome, Arno, Southern France, Rhineland, & Central Europe. After being honorably discharged, he attended Texas Tech University followed by careers in construction and the concrete business. L.F. married Carla Wainwright of Olney, Texas on December 3, 1950. He partnered with his brother, Charlie, in the ready-mix concrete business in Stamford, Texas and in the design of a portable concrete plant that led to his ultimate career at Cemco, Inc. in manufacturing his patented designs. Cemco is still a family-operated business.

Interment will be Saturday, May 30, 2015 @ 10:00 a.m. in Restland Cemetery of Olney, TX
A funeral service will follow interment at 11:00 am in the First United Methodist Church of Olney, Tx
