Mrs. John L. Biasiolli, 90, nee Freda Pahl, of Fredericksburg, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, at Knopp Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A funeral mass was celebrated Saturday, Jan. 31, at 1 p.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Tony Vilano officiating. Mary Ann Murchison was the organist, and Michele Stehling, the vocalist.
Interment followed in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Prior to the funeral, the body lay in state in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home where vigil and rosary services were held Friday, Jan. 30, at 7 p.m. with Deacon Patrick Klein officiating.
Mrs. Biasiolli was born July 10, 1913, in Luckenbach, the daughter of Lonea W. Pahl and Olga Meier Pahl. She married Alfred A. Kunz on April 22, 1931, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. He preceded her in death. She married John Biasiolli on Nov. 10, 1979, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Stonewall. He also preceded her in death.
She is survived by one daughter, one son and their spouses, including Bernice and Alvin F. Weinheimer of Stonewall and Kenneth A. (Ken) and Jackie Kunz of Fredericksburg; eight grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three sisters, one brother and their spouses, including Paula, Mrs. Kermit Schlueter of San Antonio, Cora and Elgin Behrends of Stonewall, Viola and Paul Wallendorf and Victor and Bess Pahl, all of Fredericksburg; and a sister-in-law, Rita, Mrs. Marvin Pahl, also of Fredericksburg.
In addition to her husbands, Mrs. Biasiolli was preceded in death by one great-grandson, one sister and brother-in-law, Katie and Victor Peese; one brother, Marvin Pahl, and one brother-in-law, Kermit Schlueter.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Capital Improvement Fund, St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church or to the charity of choice.
Pallbearers included Bruce Weinheimer, Brian Weinheimer, Darin Weinheimer, Keith Kunz, Kevin Kunz and Brad Bernhard.
