Born July 14, 1915 in Gillespie County. He was a farmer, rancher.
Survivors include; wife Rose Behrends of Fredericksburg; three sons and spouses, Christian and Vivian Behrends, Monroe and Karen Behrends, of Luckenbach and Carey and Sharon Behrends of Midland; two step-sons, David Stehling and Keith Stehling of Fredericksburg; six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; three brothers, Max Behrends, Reinhard Behrends and Willie Behrends, all of Fredericksburg; one sister, Mrs. Edmund (Anna) Fritz, also of Fredericksurg.
