Ella Smith, 83, Coldwater Rte 3, died at the health center, on Friday at 8:15 p.m.

Funeral services will be Monday at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, with the Rev. John Moore of the Coldwater Free Methodist Church in charge. Burial will be in the California Corners Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Sunday.

Mrs. Smith was born in Branch County on May 24, 1886, a daughter of Hugh and Jane (Greer) McMurray. Her husband, Perl, died in 1957.

She was a member of the Coldwater Free Methodist Church. She is survived by a foster son, Richard E. Teeters of Coldwater, Rte 2, and two grandchildren.
